Technical Coordinator (Hazardous Waste)
Our client is one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies, with over 200 facilities and 4,200 employees across the UK.
A vacancy currently exists for a Technical Coordinator to work within the company’s successful waste treatment division at a hazardous waste treatment and transfer facility in West Yorkshire. You will manage and undertake, with a small team, the technical assessment of hazardous waste enquiries. This includes negotiating with customers and third-party disposers, preparing transportation documentation, collating site records and producing accurate data for invoicing, ensuring all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in chemistry or a related subject
- Experience within the hazardous waste treatment or chemical industry
- DGSA qualification (or willingness to achieve)
- COTC in Hazardous Treatment desirable
- Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office
- Transport administration experience or CPC in Road Haulage Operations desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex technical information
- Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- Clean full driving licence is an advantage.
This is a full time, permanent role based on site Monday to Friday.
